Lena’s birth was somewhat even more intense as there was a lot of pressure and labouring through my lower back. During the more intense surges, my homebirth midwife would remind me to return to the calm breathing.

One of the questions couples often ask me is what they need to bring when they go into hospital?. I thought that it would be helpful to give parents some ideas as to pack for birthing a baby in a hospital.
